Learn how to manage venues in Puree, including venue costs in quotes and managing venue reservations in a calendar.

Introduction to Venue Management

The venue management feature allows caterers to include venue costs in quotes and manage venue reservations in a calendar. This is particularly useful for caterers who own or manage event venues.

Enabling the Feature

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Enable the Venue Management feature
  3. Configure your venue settings

Adding Venues

  1. Go to Venues in the main menu
  2. Click "Add New Venue"
  3. Enter venue details (name, address, capacity)
  4. Add venue-specific items and pricing
  5. Set up reservation types (e.g., full day, half day, hourly)
  6. Configure pricing for each reservation type

Including Venues in Quotes

When creating a quote:

  1. Select the quote type that includes venue hire
  2. Choose the venue from your list
  3. Select the reservation type
  4. The venue component will appear at the top of the quote
  5. Venue costs are automatically included in the total

Venue Calendar

Manage venue bookings with the integrated calendar:

  • View all venue reservations at a glance
  • Check venue availability before creating quotes
  • Avoid double-bookings
  • Plan venue setup and teardown times

Venue-Specific Features

  • Override customer addresses with venue addresses
  • Add venue-specific commentary templates
  • Include venue floor plans and photos
  • Customise venue items and equipment
