Most caterers already sort their quotes with tags: Wedding, Corporate, Christmas, Venue hire. It is the quickest way to answer questions like “how many weddings have we got in March?” But a quote is the end of the story. The work starts earlier, as a phone call, an online enquiry or a prospect you plan to chase, and until now tags only arrived once a quote existed.
Tags now work across the whole CRM. The same tags you use on quotes now label enquiries and opportunities too, from the moment a lead comes in.
You can tag a lead wherever you are when you learn what kind of job it is:
Need a tag you do not have yet? Type the name into the picker and it is created and applied in one go.
When you convert an enquiry or opportunity to a quote, its tags come with it, alongside the notes and files. There is nothing to re-tag, and nothing gets lost between the lead and the booking.
That matters more than it sounds. If you choose a quote template automatically based on a tag (say, your wedding template for anything tagged Wedding), a converted enquiry now opens on the right template straight away.
The CRM board has a new Tag filter beside Account manager. Choose Wedding and every board narrows to weddings: new enquiries, opportunities, pending quotes, and the Won and Lost boards.
The counts on each tab follow the filter, and so do the figures on Quotes won and Quotes lost. So you can finally answer questions like:
The filter is remembered between visits, so if you spend your mornings on corporate work, the board opens that way.
If you already tag your quotes, there is nothing to set up: your existing tags are ready to use on the CRM board today. If you do not use tags yet, start small. Three or four tags for the kinds of work you actually want to compare is plenty. You can add more at any time, from Settings → Tags or by typing a new one into any picker.
