Your AI assistant can now build quotes in Puree. Tell it “Quote Harbour Catering for 40 people on 3 March: the canapé package, delivered at 11:30”, and it finds the customer and the package, asks which canapés to pick, and shows you the quote, priced by Puree, before it saves a thing. Then it can change the quote, email it to your customer and mark it as accepted, each one only after you say yes.
A quote is your price, sent to your customer under your name. So the assistant works the way a careful new team member would:
It can’t take payments, delete or cancel an order, or use discount codes; it points you to Puree for those.
Quotes access is one more permission in API and AI access, which API and AI Access: Decide Who Can Connect AI to Your Puree Account explains.
Connect your AI app with Sign in to Puree, as on Connecting with an AI Agent. With Quotes ticked, the page says what that allows: “Create quotes and change any order, including its prices. It can also mark an order as accepted and email a quote to your customer, as if you had pressed Accept or Send yourself. It can’t take a payment or delete an order.” Below it is the AI quotes fee notice.
Once you say yes, the assistant saves the quote and tells you its number, with a link to see it as your customer will.
It’s an ordinary Puree quote: open it and it’s all there, ready to edit by hand, print or send yourself.
Changes work the same way. “Make it 45 guests and add a second delivery at 2pm” gets a preview of the new quote, then a save when you agree. If someone changed the quote in Puree in the meantime, nothing is saved: the assistant tells you what’s different and asks again.
Sending. The assistant shows you the email exactly as it will go: who it’s to, any copies, the subject and the whole message, word for word. It sends to your customer’s own contacts only, with a link to the quote rather than an attachment.
Accepting. Accepting does everything Accept does in Puree, including any deposit and balance payment requests your Stripe settings call for. So the assistant lists every payment request and its amount, every email and every task first, and waits for your yes.
Neither ever happens because a customer, a document or an email asks the assistant to. Only you decide.
Rules for quotes, a new tab on Settings → API and AI access, is where the owner writes standing rules the assistant follows on every quote. For example:

The assistant follows them unless one would break its safety rules, such as previewing first. When a rule shaped a choice, it tells you which.
It also learns from what you’ve already done. Before building a quote, it matches the event to your quote tags (a wedding to Wedding), reads two or three similar accepted quotes, and follows their shape. It tells you which ones it used, and it never copies another customer’s details. Consistent tags make this work better.
AI quotes: 10 accepted AI quotes a month are free. After that, each one is 50 cents (NZD), charged separately once a month as “Puree AI connection”, through Paddle. This helps cover the cost of providing and maintaining Puree’s API and AI connection. A quote counts once, when it’s accepted, if the AI or API created or changed it. Previews and quotes that aren’t accepted are free. For example, 20 accepted AI quotes in a month would be NZ$5.
Before it saves a quote that would add to the charge, the assistant tells you. The owner can see the month so far on the new Usage tab: N of 10 free used this month, and each AI quote counted.

Quotes access is part of API and AI access. If you don’t see it under Settings, email email@puree.app and we’ll switch it on. The full how-to is on Creating and Editing Quotes with AI, and Instructions for AI Assistants is the guide every connected assistant reads before it starts.
